Most Veloce parts are direct bolt-on replacements, 2 to 15 minutes with hand tools. The notes below cover the categories riders install most often. Always confirm fitment in the product-page selector before starting; if a part is not the variant your bike needs, stop and contact support.
Confirm brand, model, year, and color in the product-page fitment selector. Work on a cool motorcycle on a stable stand with the side covers protected, hands clean, and the correct tools laid out (typically 8 mm and 10 mm sockets, an Allen set, and T20 to T30 Torx for some bikes). Check the included hardware against the parts list before opening packaging in case anything is missing.
About 10 to 15 minutes per side. Loosen the OEM lever pivot bolt, slide the lever out, transfer any return spring or adjuster collar, and bolt the Veloce lever into the master cylinder bracket. Torque the pivot to OEM spec from the service manual — overtightening binds the lever, undertightening lets it walk. Cycle the lever to full travel and confirm a firm bite point on the master cylinder before riding.
7 to 10 minutes for the pair. Work contact cleaner under the OEM rubber and twist the grips off; do not cut into the throttle tube. Wipe the bar and throttle tube clean and let them dry. A light coat of hairspray inside the new grip lets it slide on, then locks it once cured. Align the end and let the bike sit for an hour before riding so the adhesive sets.
About 2 minutes. Clean the tank surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth — the adhesive only bonds to a fully degreased surface. Position the pad with the backing still on, mark the corners with low-tack tape if you want a guide, then peel and press from the centre out. Warming the pad with a hairdryer helps the adhesive flow into the tank curve. Skip washing the bike for 24 hours.
About 2 minutes per cap. Place a clean rag around the reservoir to catch any drips — these reservoirs hold brake fluid, which strips paint. Remove the OEM cover screws (Phillips or Torx depending on the bike), lift the cover straight up without tilting the reservoir, swap in the Veloce cap, and torque the screws to OEM spec. Confirm the fluid is between the min and max marks before refitting and check for leaks on the first ride.
About 7 to 10 minutes per side. Unscrew the OEM mirror, transfer any spacer or adapter required by the bike, apply medium-strength threadlocker, and tighten until snug — these do not need to be wrenched against the housing.
About 2 minutes once you have the right tool. Engine must be cool. Remove the OEM filler cap, check the o-ring on the new Veloce cap, and thread the new cap in by hand first to avoid cross-threading aluminum into the engine case. Snug only — do not torque it like a bolt; the o-ring does the sealing.
About 10 to 15 minutes. Tools: 8 and 10 mm sockets, T25 Torx where used, and wire strippers if you are relocating the indicators. Disconnect the rear indicator connectors at the loom, unbolt the OEM fender, and transfer the licence-plate light and indicators to the Veloce bracket per the kit diagram. Route wiring back through the OEM channel so nothing chafes on the subframe, then bolt the assembly to the subframe and confirm the licence-plate light, both rear indicators, the brake light, and the rear running light all work before riding.
About 1 to 2 minutes. The throttle assist clamps over the OEM throttle grip with the included thumbscrew; loosen for short rides, snug for highway pulls. Key rings slide onto any motorcycle key.
Stop. Do not force CNC aluminum into a clamp it was not cut for — that is how a finish that should last the life of the bike gets scratched. Contact support with the order number and the bike (brand, model, year, trim if applicable) and we will sort exchange or correct fitment.
